A Vision Comes to Life

I have to say, the past few weeks have been very exciting.  After a minor hiatus, I'm back and fully absorbed with the design regimen for the eclectic beach house.

The past several months  have entailed all the necessary structural elements to bring my vision to life.  For a creative mind...this necessity seems like an eternity as all aesthetic elements are put on hold as the contractor prepares the project.  Excruciating!!!!  lol.  However, the structure is now rock solid, level and very well insulated, I can definitely attest to the fact the preparatory work was well worth the wait.

However, coming into the space to find several 'man-made' gouges in the recently primed drywall was a bit unnerving, determining and reinforcing the stress lines prior to applying the finishing coat will provide ultimate longevity.  Every day I would hear from the crew, "we do no job before it's time'.  I must admit, patience is definitely a virtue and I've come a very long way.  ;)  Up until recently, I may have been know to whip out the paint can, roll over the nails (I failed to remove) and perhaps hang some pictures back on the wall a bit prematurely...just to see the finished product.  I'm sure you can imagine what an inspection of the finer details would uncover in my whirlwind redesign projects.

This week's lesson:

Let patience be your guide and progress be your motivation!  :)

Have a fabulous week.
